About Us

In 2021 in the midst of a pandemic two qualified BAS agents and experienced bookkeepers merged businesses and created The Bookkeeping Nook. Bringing together a wealth of knowledge from previously working with multiple industries. We have created a company where we can support each other to ensure we are covering all aspects of our client’s business needs.

It’s essential for us that our clients get a personalised service that suits their individual business requirements as no business runs the same. Whether a client is big or small we pride ourselves on attention to detail, efficiency and most of all, keeping our clients informed and up to date on their business financials, latest software programs, government assistance, new regulations and laws etc.

Over the past 4 years we have built the business from the ground up and now service over 180 clients from all over Australia. We have grown to a team of 7 and cannot wait to see what the coming years have in store.

Our Rates

General Bookkeeping

Online, this is designed for all businesses to receive general ongoing bookkeeping services. Typically, regular bookkeeping is done weekly, bi-weekly or monthly depending on the size of the clients business.

*Fixed fee is available upon assessment.

60 mins | $80+GST

Advanced Management Accounting

Online, this is for businesses that require a little more than general bookkeeping, cash flow management reports, advanced financial reporting etc.

60 mins | $100+GST

Xero File Setup

Online or in-person depending on location. 

*Quoted based on business size

BAS Lodgement

This is for Monthly or Quarterly BAS Lodgements by a qualified BAS Agent to the ATO.

*Please note this is a lodgement fee only, does not include preparing the file for lodgement.

Information we are required to Disclose to You

As qualified BAS Agents, our work for you is performed in accordance with the Tax Agent Services Act 2009. Under this Act, the Tax Agent Services (Code of Professional Conduct) Determination 2024 requires that we make the following disclosures to you:

1. Matters that could significantly influence your decision to engage us (or continue to engage us) for a Tax Agent Service from 1 July 2022 onward include the following:

2. The Tax Practitioner’s Board maintains a register of Tax Agents and BAS Agents. You can access and search this register here: https://www.tpb.gov.au/public-register

3. If you have a complaint about our BAS Agent services, you will need to contact Directors Jessica Wigg or Kate Whelan. One of our directors or a staff member who is not involved in the subject matter of the dispute where possible will investigate your complaint. We will provide you with email acknowledgement of receipt of your complaint and our understanding of the circumstances. The email will inform you that we will attempt to resolve your complaint with 14 days and will outline the dispute resolution process.

If you’re unhappy with the outcome that we propose to you, you can then make a complaint to the Tax Practitioners Board (TPB) using the link listed above. The TPB will send you an email to acknowledge the receipt of your complaint and review and risk assess your complaint. If you are unhappy with how the TPB has dealt with your complaint, the above link includes details about your review rights and who can further assist you.
